USA (New Jersey) – Data Center Strategy Consultant Service

Vendor needs to provide data center strategy consultant service. - Evaluate the current University AC-environment and develop a strategic roadmap for mid-term (3-5 years) and long term (5+ years) data center needs for AC and other computing, data and storage management, and data movement infrastructure.- This strategic roadmap must be informed by a series of visioning and planning workshops with leadership, faculty, researchers, and stakeholders.• Review inventory of current data centers and other IT facilities infrastructure and services• Forecast future needs and required computing capacities• Analysis of organizational and staffing structure – including IT, Facilities, and end user support resourcing• Review peer research institution strategies and long-term approach• Evaluation Metrics and Benchmarking against industry standards and peer institutions• Comparative analyses of On-Site, Off-Site, Hybrid, and Fully External own/build/lease/partnership weighted-scorecard models with associated financial proformas over mid and long-term timeframes• Each scenario shall present separate cost implications for computing assets and for physical data center space• Geographic risk, local or remote grid capacity, interconnection feasibility• Trends and industry direction relative to cooling methods, densities, market expansion, etc.• Expansion and change management timelines for different options
