USA (Illinois) – Energy Curtailment Services

(1) Vendor needs to provide energy curtailment services to the government authority located in IL.- Curtailment service provider to support the district’s participation in the emergency demand response program and to develop a strategy that maximizes financial compensation.- Participant curtailment supports the grid operator in achieving critical operational goals such as frequency regulation, mitigation of peak hourly pricing, and deferral of new generation capacity required to address short?lived peak demand periods during summer conditions and polar vortex events.- Participants are compensated according to their pledged load reductions.- District is called upon to curtail energy and cannot reach its commitment, it must be able to procure additional energy demand to meet its obligation.(2) The contract period will be for three years.
