Scope of Work
(1) Vendor needs to provide medical waste disposal service to the government authority located in Boise, ID. - Provide complete transport and disposal services for all medical waste generated.- Laboratory Waste: Cultures and stocks handled under biosafety level 1, 2 and 3 conditions.- Collect medical waste, including sharps and non-sharps containers.- Must assume full custody of the medical waste upon receipt.- Transport and dispose of disposable one and three gallon approved, sharps containers that are provided by the department.- Provide contact numbers for medical waste drivers and allow to coordinate as needed immediate (stat) pick-up of medical waste.- Respond to telephone messages within four hours and pick-up or delivery of additional containers within twenty-four hours of request by the department.(2) The contract period will be for five years.
