USA (Bellingham, Washington) – Professional Hearing Examiner Services

(1) Vendor needs to provide professional hearing examiner services to the government authority located in Bellingham, WA.• The Planning and Development Services Department processes applications to manage land development for upcoming projects in conjunction with federal, state, and county regulations• A county staff member serves as the Hearing Examiner Coordinator and manages the administrative functions of the hearing examiner’s office including setting hearing schedules, preparing agendas, publishing meeting notices, attending, and recording hearings, and maintaining the hearing examiner’s office website.• Appeals from a decision of the administrator of the shoreline management program• Applications for variances from the terms of the zoning ordinance• The Contractor must have experience performing similar quasi-judicial duties relating to planning and land use for other firms or agencies.• The Hearing Examiner may be required at their expense to make site visits.• The Hearing Examiner and/or Pro Tempore Hearing Examiner shall be prepared to recuse themselves from any case where a potential conflict of interest exists.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 13, 2026
