USA (New York) – RS 485 Based Passenger Communication System Replacement or Upgrade Service

(1) Vendor needs to provide RS 485 based passenger communication system replacement or upgrade service to the government authority located in NY.- The feasibility, integration impacts, and cost or schedule considerations associated with replacing or upgrading the existing rs?485?based passenger communication system on passenger service diesel locomotives and diesel hauled coaches. - Evaluate respondents’ proposals on feasibility, ease of installation, minimizing new in car cable routing.- The Ideal proposal would interface with the existing communication system, allowing to maintain interoperability across its fleet and eliminate the need to segregate existing fleet communication systems during retrofit replacement with new style communication system.- The retrofit replaced the ASI system Rail Based Transponders to GPS based location for ASI.
